EU Conference on Prevention of Type 2 Diabetes



Lectures of the EU Conference on Prevention of Type 2 Diabetes,

which was held on 15. - 16. February 2006 in Vienna, are presented in a virtual mode.



In order to provide a forum for all EU member states and candidate countries to exchange views

and discuss different approaches a conference was organised by the Austrian Health Institute (ÖBIG),

on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Health and Women

and with the support of the European Commission.



The conference was organised and designed together with renowned international organisations

specialised in diabetes:

- European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD),

- International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Europe,

- Federation of European Nurses in Diabetes (FEND)

- Primary Care Diabetes (PCD) Europe.
